With the beaches of Camber Sands (huge sand-dune lined sandy beach) and Winchelsea (pebble beach) just a short drive/bus ride away and castles, steam trains and much more within easy reach, Rye is the perfect base for a holiday with children.

We want to make your stay at The Artist’s Cottage with your children as straightforward as possible. Although the ancient staircases are steep and a bit uneven, our own under 5’s have always managed them. The top bedroom is fitted with a stair gate.

There is a trundle bed under each of the single beds in the top bedroom. We can also provide a travel cot and a camp bed in any of the rooms on request.

There is plastic crockery and cutlery in the kitchen for you to use, and we can provide a high chair on request.
